Overview of the Portrait Process
I will create a portrait based primarily of the photogragh you have chosen.  While the portrait is not an exact duplication of the reference photo, it certainly helps to have an understanding of the expression you would like to see in the final portrait.
Completion time varies depending on the type and complexity of the portrait.  Most head and shoulder pastels take 6 to 8 weeks to complete.  Oil paintings require 8 to 12 weeks to dry, due to drying time between paint layers.
I will contact you when the portrait is complete to make delivery arrangements.  At that time minor changes can be made to the portrait.  Once completed, pastel paintings needs to be framed as soon as possible to avoid damage to the art work.  I will be willing to mate and frame it for a fee, but if you have framer in mind, make sure they have worked with pastel paintings.
Final payment for your portrait is expected at time of delivery and acceptance of the artwork, unless prior arrangements have been made.
Your portrait is guaranteed to look like the subject.  If you are not completely happy with the result, I will try to make requested adjustments until you are satisfied,

Photo Guildelines
Choose a photo that is clear, close and in color.  If you can see the whites of the subject's eyes, it is clear enough.  Window lightworks well.  Also, bright shade produces pleasing results.  Choose a photo with an expression you like.
